Strategies for Implementing Indonesian Government Policies in Improving the Quality of Higher Education in Indonesia

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore strategies for implementing Indonesian government policies in improving the quality of education in Indonesia. The issue of government policy to improve the quality of education is a strategic issue in the development agenda. Educators in schools have a strategic position on the development of students. The research methodology uses qualitative descriptive analysis approach. The result showed that Government Regulation Number 32 of 2013, concerning National Education Standards is hoped to improve the quality of religious education educators, and increase the quality of supporting physical facilities and infrastructure. It is also an need for educator quality equality between urban and rural areas, where the quality of teachers as educators in education services in rural areas is considered less feasible.
