Abstract
The article explores teaching methods that encourage self-study and their effectiveness, as well as an analysis of traditional and independent learning approaches. Development of methodology and teaching recommendations for teaching theoretical electrotechnical science, which will promote the development of independent learning activities of undergraduate students in higher education.
