Microfinance and Women Empowerment: A Case of Tillotama Municipality, Nepal

Abstract

So far as the role and importance of microfinance for women empowerment is concern, the main purpose of this study is to find out the contribution of microfinance in empowering the Nepalese women. Therefore, it is found that increasing involvement of women in microfinance related to understanding, awareness and family needs has been improved. However, the major decision is still taken by there elder males. Thus, the study conclude that the microfinance has significant contribution with sensing the needs and awareness among the women respondents. Finally, future effort by microfinance are still need to re think about their future concerned strategy regarding women empowerment in Nepal.
